Sending Photos and Files to Cayuga Digital Imaging

| Your video tapes,
slides and photos may be priceless
and irreplaceable. If you are in the Ithaca area, we can arrange to pick
up your items personally. If you decide to mail your photos
to us, package them well, and insure them if you like. We cannot
be responsible for photos that have been lost or damaged in the
mail. If you have a photo you would like us to see for price
estimation purposes, obtain a good scan or photocopy and send
that to us (see ABOUT FILE FORMATS, IMAGE RESOLUTION, SCANNING
PHOTOS, etc. below). |

| We accept digital files
via email (please contact us first if your email files are more than 5
MB large), on CD-ROM, Zip disks (100 MB or 250 MB), and floppy disks . Mail
them or hand-deliver them to us. Mac or PC formatted disks are
acceptable. Make sure you keep back-up
copies of any files that you are sending to us.

| ABOUT FILE FORMATS:
If you are sending us a scanned file of a photo for a price estimation
for repair, JPG format is acceptable. JPG files are smaller than most
other files and are easy to transmit via email. If you are sending files
for us to us to produce high resolution slides or negatives,
then digital files should be in TIFF, PICT, pdf, or Photoshop file
format. JPG is also acceptable, but in some circumstances the
quality may not be as good as with the other formats. If your
files are currently in JPG format, send them to us as they
are and don't worry about converting them.
ABOUT IMAGE RESOLUTION: If you are going to scan an image for us
to work with, set your resolution to 300 dpi (higher if you are going to
want us to eventually enlarge your image).
